This is just so cute. I really want to know if the cat was put there, or if they jumped up themselves and decided it was the perfect place to be helpful 😆 Either or, Dad is doing a great job with the extra help! I would love for my cats to hang out while I do things in a way that doesn't place themselves directly between me and the thing I am doing.
This last week has felt like it is taking all of my focus and energy to get anything I need to do, done. By the end of the day i've maaaaybe done half, if I'm lucky, and by then I'm just too tired. physically, mentally, emotionally, to do more. ADHD can be so frustrating. My inability to do things without some sort of mental push in the form of a riddle is getting so tiresome. and I dont know if anyone else here has the combination of ADHD, and cats who like to distract you from where you were going/what you were doing so often that you spend a lot of time retracing your steps because you forget why you walked in to that room.
Now that I think of it, I filmed a short about what it's like to have ADHD and cats all the way back in October, but I never finished it... it was funny I should go find it.. 😅
Today is the day that my step ladder is finally supposed to come in so that I can put up the netting around the balcony!! Unfortunately my arthritis can confirm that it is very very rainy outside, so not only would it be unsafe to do today, it would be ow. Arthritis really has a way of making you feel like you got hit by a bus. BUT I was proven yesterday that the netting is a smart call, because I was sitting at my desk yesterday, with the giant front window to my right, so I can see out front and the whole balcony. I looked over and saw susie doing her back-of-chair balancing act on the balcony railing and this one has NO LEDGE like my last place!!! I SCREAMED and jumped off my chair to go grab her and closed the door behind me after bringing her inside. Those birds are going to taunt her to her demise!! They are evil!!! Ninja-Spy squad, we have to get back at them! This was unacceptable! ... however... susie does have epic core strength, so that balancing act was pretty darn stable. My little gymnast 🥰 the bonus of having wobbly cat trees and skinny things for them to walk on; EPIC CORE STRENGTH 😂🥷🏻
So hopefully I will get that netting up and she won't be a ninja that scares her mummy like that. 🫠 I have a big list of things that needs doing, but I'm going to just do what I can, and try to be accepting of that.. I ran into yet another brand new minor medical issue a few days ago, and will have to tend to that for at least a month... it's still not registering that I'm auto-immune now, and things that I never used to get are finding me easily unlike before. We gotta remember to do the little things; stretch, take deep breaths, take our vitamins, and find time to smile. These little daily actions make for huge positive changes in the long run. And I can confidently say that there is no amount of self-care I have done that I have regretted. It's nothing but an investment in a healthier future. 🩷 I love you all so much and I hope you're taking care of you too.
Love Alex, Susie, and Calvin.
