I was unpacking groceries (standing around and eating a cookie, let's face it) and one of those common brown-bag-gremlins seems to have made it's way in to my apartment...
On personal news, I've created a couple more designs for the shop that I can't wait to show you! Ordering myself some samples first to make sure they are good to go, and I'll show them to you when they get here! I'm finally going to have some "cat lady"/ "Cat dad" shirts!, plus "I pretend cats can talk" and "Bunny Horse" is finished! Now for a new "prepare" and "bad vibes" design, plus "echoey bowl of safety" and "Staticky, Floaty, Green Butt" is also on it's way by popular demand! Make sure you head to the forum to add your own suggestions! I will be doing one for Calvin's weather reporting soon. Trying to decide if he's a "weatherman" or "meteorologist" (Thank you maryanne for that awesome thought 😆). But his special skills in Ghost Whispering is going to be a fun series to introduce you to one day as well... 😎
Tomorrow I have a zoom meeting with the guy who's going to help me get size guides and everything else for the store set up and optimized for a better shopping experience. Plus I also have a meeting with a business advisor in the afternoon. BAAAARF but I think that's all of the peopling I have to do this week...
With all of the design changes and store optimizing that happened/is happening after I've gotten many orders, I think I feel good about an idea I have... I want to give something to my first 50 customers. I don't know what yet, just a little something to show my gratitude. And for taking a chance on my store, especially when I was still in the process of seeing if it even worked properly! I dunno, but it makes me happy to think about. I really needed people to shop in order to see what needed fixing. We learned together and both took risks. I learned through having customers, and I'm so grateful. So when I get to 50 I'm hopefully going to have a idea. Maybe personalized cards, stickers, I really don't know! But something to show my love.
On that note, I think I'm going to open a new tier on Patreon. It's going to be a high number, but it's sole purpose is to raise money for Calvin's Urinary Tract Surgery. All proceeds go straight to his surgery fund (I will be keeping track publicly with you), and everyone who participates/ joins the tier will get a free tshirt of any design they choose. ❤️ I can't wait for the day that I don't hear him crying in the littler box anymore. It breaks my heart every day, and baby boi deserves this relief. I was quoted 3600USD for the surgery, so however long it takes to save up I need to start now.
I hope you all had a lovely weekend! Do something nice for yourself today, because you and I both know you deserve it. Take a deep breath and reach your arms high over your head, reach for the ceiling for a really good stretch. Have a snack, sing, hug a floof, twirl, and tell yourself you're awesome for doing that. Because being able to express genuine child-like glee is bliss when you give yourself permission to be silly ❤️
