Uh oh, I hope Susie isn't in over her head

Holy crow yesterday was a loooooong day. I left my house just before 8am and got home just after 8pm, but I did it! I made it all the way there and back without losing anything, tripping on anything, or crying 😆 and I only came back with a mild sunburn!! 😅🥴 (I put on sunscreen, it was just not enough or too late.) I almost thought I was going to pass out from heat exhaustion at one point too, but I found shade and had lotsa water so I didn't get sick at all. I think all round that is a successful day outside for an Alex. It's scary out there! Who made it that hot? and why did I see a scary old man with a gigantic hat chase two women down the sidewalk with a large stick...? I'm glad to be home and back inside away from the other human folk. When I got home Susie decided she was VERY unhappy about my absence and had many things to say in the matter. But I just laid down on the floor and scritchied them into puddles. My rheumatologist wasn't even as condescending as usual.. he tried the whole "Sooo which team are you rooting for?? Tell me you're an Olilers fan and not a Flames fan" (I guess there was a game yesterday, I did see a bajillion jerseys) but all I could really say to that was "..that's hockey? the one with the sticks, and the ice, right?" . I figure if sports people are going to talk to me like sports is the most important thing, then I'm going to talk about it like I've never had a second thought about it. Because I'm petty and I think it's funny 🙈😆😅 But after the small talk and the full appointment, he said that our next appointment in 6 months could be over the phone. I must have lit up like a christmas tree, because he laughed and said "gimme a hug" . So yay. Appointment over and done with, and at least I know I don't have to try and make this journey again in the winter time.

Today and tomorrow are supposed to be even hotter. So keeping the shades closed, and the fans facing the right windows and I should be able to manage the temperature. Just gotta keep pushing the hot air out of the apartment so that Calvin Susie and I don't cook. I love you guys very much. Thank you for being supportive over these last few days, I needed it ❤️🎶
