You're So High Up, Birdie!

Arrow is back again and she's showing off her sweet side. I don't know if the birdie can hear her through the glass, but I'm sure he's being very safe. And there's a good chance that soon after this video ends, the birdie notices Arrow, gets a little startled at first, but then eventually opens up to the idea of coming in for a tea. Anna, Arrow's human, says, "Arrow was adopted from our local shelter. She’s currently 13. Her shelter name was Dorcas (hated it), so I named her after the song “Me and My Arrow” by Harry Nielsen. She’s a great snuggle buddy and still has the zoomies every now and then. I swear sometimes she might have been a dog in her past life. 😆" .
Happy Thursday! As I've been screaming for the past week, my Mom is coming to stay for a few days (eeeeeeeeeeeeeee) and she should be here in a few hours🥳🥳🥳! So I'm just finishing up getting my place "moM approved" and less "Alex couldn't be bothered to hang her sweater or wash a dish". I'll be keeping you posted on Calvin's vet visit tomorrow. Depending on how stressful it gets I'll keep you guys in the loop on the day, or at the latest, Monday. I want to take this time with my mom and not touch my computer unless I have to (don't worry, I've got a Sunday video ready to go, so you won't be missing out on any posts). I think a break for a few days will be great for me, and I want to spend as much time with my mom as I can. But I also don't want to leave everyone hanging on how it went, so I may give a small update, and then a bigger one when the weekend is over ❤️
Honestly I'm so grateful for the advice you have all been giving me in the comments about Calvin and his vet trip. I wrote down tons. I'm obviously still anxious, but I feel a lot better about what to expect when we get there. Many of you are helping me mentally prepare for breaking Calvin's boundaries to get him there, and him being upset with me about it... it's a hard one for me. I'm so incredibly sensitive when it comes to both Susie and Calvin that many people who don't have pets (or even many that do) don't really understand, especially people who have had kids, and that's ok. But whether or not it's understandable, I love these creatures just as much as I could love any other. And they are the only constant beings that were with me through the worst parts of my life and all through recovery. 8 years of a bond with two creatures and neither were human, but I love them no differently. That's just who I am, and I love that about me. Heartbreak is frequent, but I wouldn't give up the amount of love that comes with it.
I think having my mom here to help me get through it, along with you guys by my side, this will go just fine 🥰 I love you all so much, I truly do. I know so many of you by your names, your profile pictures, your cats, your adorable comments, and I just need you to know that you never go unnoticed ❤️. I feel such a strong sense of community here and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you. You are why my channel is such a safe place for me and everyone who wants to enjoy it. Without you, I'm just some weird lady on the internet making voices for cats 😂🫶🏻❤️ and that weird lady appreciates you so.
Lots of love and snackies,
Alex, Susie and Calvin
